We created an AR app to introduce eggs for the Japan Tamago Kake Gohan Research Institute.
At the "Maboroshi no Tamagoya-san" (Phantom Egg Shop), which sells carefully selected eggs from all over the country, customers can learn about the characteristics of each egg by scanning the 2D barcode on the in-store POP with their smartphone camera, and can also take the TKG test by clicking the button on the screen.

Tama Introduction AR

At the shop front of "Maboroshi no Tamagoyasan," if you use your smartphone camera to scan the two-dimensional barcode on the egg promotional poster, the AR will be activated. After an original illustration by the Japan Tamago Kake Gohan Research Institute is displayed, an AR introducing the characteristics of the eggs and their production areas will be displayed.
There are a total of over 110 types of egg promotional AR, so you can compare the different types and find your favorite egg.

If you pass the TKG certification exam, you will receive a business card issued by the institute and be able to work as a TKGer (tea cager) certified by the Japan Tamagokake Gohan Research Institute, so please give it a try.

About the Japan Tamagokake Gohan Research Institute

The research institute was established in 2019 by its representative, Ueno Takashi, who is a chef but has become fascinated by TKG (raw egg on rice) and wanted to "make even more delicious raw egg on rice!"
Through a wide range of activities such as selling brand eggs from around the country, hosting events and appearing in the media, the institute also contributes to spreading information about the appeal of raw egg on rice and Japanese food culture.
